Hi! My name is Ashley Olexyn and I am a current educator for Paul Mitchell the School Springfield. I have 3 beautiful kids, Jonathan, Uzziah, and Ambria.  I have been a teacher for a little over 5 years, and a stylist for 10. I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in 2010 and never thought I would be the one to teach. An opportunity arose for me to apply so I did, and I haven’t looked back since. Teaching really found me, I was working in a salon after I had my daughter and just wanted to grow and do something bigger. I love learning and pushing myself outside my box to make me a better stylist and this career does just that. I love working with students and watching their passion and talent grow. 

I also work at a salon called Soulfire Hair Co and Esthetics. I love the balance of teaching and working in the salon because it balances out both sides of the industry. In the salon, I can make people feel great about themselves, give them a little relief away from their busy lives. Teaching really pushes me to my limits as far as breaking things down on a level where future professionals can learn and understand. I like to be a safe place, in either environment, for people to feel. 

I found Maria Rose Inspires when Maria came to be a guest artist at our school and immediately fell in love with her passion for teaching extensions, and teaching the right way. I could tell she shared the same passion as I do when it comes to education, so I immediately signed up to take her class and also applied for a position on her team! Color and extensions are my passion both behind the chair and in the school so what better way to do it all?!? I love what I do, and I am excited for this next venture in my career!
